The Dent Schoolhouse takes place in a schoolhouse that was built back in 1896 and contains a gruesome legend... The Janitor of the school, Charlie McFree is said to have killed a large number of the student body over a period of 10-20 years. Hiding their bodies within the basement, the smell became to much and alerted the town of Dent... discovery of the hellish scene has made a permanent residence in the basement.

The building is said to be haunted by both the lost children... and The Janitor! Every admission ticket includes admission to The Dent Schoolhouse and Detention Hall. In Detention Hall... it is up to you to find your way out of this haunted maze! Cincinnati's premier haunted house is just outside downtown and open on select days in September through certain days in November.

As a child, this Real Scream Queen was always a little creeped out by our school Janitor, I'm not sure why. But late nights at the school with my mother, the PTA President, didn't help. Dark hallways in a school...a creepy quiet old man that hangs out in a closet...? So needless to say, this theme gets under my skin just enough to make me a little uneasy. I like that. I love the old building, the consistent schoolhouse theme...not only is Charlie, the janitor extremely creepy, but all the little kids in there are as well. Anything involving creepy kids or kid ghosts gets to me. I completely enjoyed the attention to detail, the characters are spot on and know just how to make you have a spooktastic time! My favorite part was when I was offered to eat the "meat" from a corpse...I thought he was kidding but quickly realized he was not. I went for it! What an experience is ALL that I am going to say. If offered the meat, I highly encourage you give it a try. You may just like human rotting flesh after all! There are many fun little experiences like the shower room and the basement, but we're not giving away ANY spoilers! You MUST experience it for yourself.

Bottom line: The Real Scream Queens feel that this is NOT a haunt you want to miss and is most definitely worth a good drive to get there. The unique theme and characters give you a fresh take on what so many haunts duplicate and make tired (how many times do we need to see Freddy?) So... How did Dent do on our overall rating system?
